Week 16: 3rd place game

#3 ShowMeYourTDs  vs  #1 Perpetual Dynasty

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Mike Wallace
K  - Justin Tucker
DEF - Green Bay

Well..... TDs lost it's game last week against Gotham which puts us in place for our game against PD. PD suffered a huge upset when losing to McCoy. Now PDs will probably make a statement for next year by crushing the TDs......

It's been a hell of a year! Which leaves me extremely sad that it's almost over... but very excited for next year!

Planning for the 2013 season will begin the day after the 3rd place game......

Week 15: PLAYOFFS!!

#3 ShowMeYourTDs  vs  #2 Gothams Reckoning

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Mike Wallace
K  - Justin Tucker
DEF - Green Bay

It's the most wonderful time of the year.. the playoffs are HERE!!!

In the regular season finale TDs blast past Weeden to secure the #3 seed and overall rank in the MFFL. I'm proud of the team for getting this far, but we didn't come this far to stop now. We turn our focus to Gotham this week.

It's more important now than ever to keep players healthy. Last week two key starters for TDs suffered minor injuries. RGIII and Bradshaw both will monitored daily to ensure they can start this weekend. Their presence in the starting lineup is key to a victory this week.

Gotham packs a mean punch. TDs remembers well the time they meet during the season opener. Gotham won a close matchup last time, and this time we expect an even closer one. The teams both feature new players on the starting roster which make them stronger.

Key players for TDs:
Mike Wallace - Coming off a huge game and he needs to step it up again.
Green Bay DEF - Also game up big last week, but a tough matchup this week

Key players for Gotham:
AJ Green - Feel short last week, also important to get Gotham out to a good start Thursday
Heath Miller - quiet for a few weeks, could be a sleeper or a monster depending on BigBen

If I was betting man, I would bet that this will be a game if the ages!

Look out Gotham... TDs is holding nothing back!

Week 14: Season Finale

#3 ShowMeYourTDs  vs  #9 Weeden and Weep

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Mike Wallace

K  - Justin Tucker
DEF - Green Bay

It's the regular season finale, and it's also do or die time. Time to put up or shut up for TDs. A win will secure TDs the #3 seed in the playoffs. While a loss will leave his fate in the hands of McCoy and El Polo. Weeden might be #9 in the league but he still poses a threat. His team has faced a hard schedule and could strike against the consistently disappointing performance of TDs.

TDs main problem is consistency. On paper his team has strong players by name, however there lack of consistent performance has their manager concerned. It's been a struggle to put up more than 100 points for quite sometime, despite being projected week after week to be in the 130s or better.

In order to make a deep run into the playoffs and push for the title TDs will need his team to function as one with everyone contributing their part. The #3 seed might prove to be very beneficial because the #2 seed, despite still being a great team, will obviously be the worse of the powerhouses. Thus, easier to beat to gain a spot in the championship.

Key Players for TDs: Mike Wallace - He's had reduced playing time and isn't producing, however having Big Ben back will surely put the ball in his hands.

Key Players for Weeden: Alfred Morris and Baltimore's Defense. Both of these could either disappoint or surprise, keep an eye on them

Week 13 - Battle for Divison Title

#3 ShowMeYourTDs  vs  #2 Perpetual Dynasty

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Michael Turner

K  - Justin Tucker
DEF - Green Bay

Week 13 is THE showdown for the division title in the 2006 Buckeyes League. The match up is huge. Two managers who deeply care about their teams that consist of strong players. These teams are ranked 2 and 3 for a reason. HUGE bragging rights up for grabs here!

Last time these two teams met TDs got screwed by the infamous replacement refs bad call that gave Seattle the win over the Green Bay. However, since then anyone will agree that TDs is riding a lucky streak that has helped him win the last 4 weeks in a row. Going for his 5th win will be the toughest match up year to date because PD is rostering an pro bowl team.

This should be another close battle. Projections have TDs winning 139 to 137, however TDs has been falling short of these projections the past few weeks. With that said, match ups are looking favorable for TDs starters this week.

TDs Key Players: Atlanta receivers Tony G and Roddy White - they need to have huge games
Michael Turner also needs to show up and prove what he can do

PD's Key Players:  Cecil Shorts is a risky start but he's been hot.

Watch this match up closely because this will be a fight!

Week 12

#3 ShowMeYourTDs  vs  #7 TesusCrusades

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Mike Wallace
K  - Shaun Suisham
DEF - Green Bay

This is the second time these teams will clash. Last matchup was a close one with TDs getting the win after a comeback on Monday night. Tesus is in desperation mode as time is running out to make the playoffs. There's no doubt he will bring his best, however TDs is confident it won't be enough to stop him.

TDs is riding and impressive 3 game win streak as he looks to make it 4 in a row. The TDs have displayed their fair share of ups and downs this season. The roller coaster effect makes every week potential for an upset, and that is what Tesus is using as motivation.

This matchup should be a fun one to watch as these teams will be close, until hopefully TDs pulls away!

Week 11 - 2nd Rivalry Week!

#4 ShowMeYourTDs  vs  #6 Beaus N Hoes

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Mike Wallace
K  - Shaun Suisham
DEF - Green Bay

The 2nd edition of Rivalry week! The first Rivalry week lived up to all the hype and was a clash between these two great teams. Now, with playoffs on the line for both teams it's more important to win than ever! Beaus is on a 3 game win streak and has made his way back into the playoff hunt. TDs has managed to come back on Monday night and grab an underdog win the past two weeks now. Although they aren't pretty, a win is a win.

Key players to watch this week for TDs is QB RGIII and RB Michael Turner. Both players have been on slumps lately and not living up to their projections. Eyes will be on them to backup TDs strong receiving core and push them to a victory in week 11.

Key players to watch on Beaus is RB Shonn Green and TE Jimmy Graham. Greene was the up setter last time these teams played having a breakout game where he scored 35 points. And Graham will likely boost past his projections because he's been on fire lately.

Watch this matchup closely because its sure to be a thrill which might come down to Monday night...

Week 10

#5 ShowMeYourTDs  vs.  #3 El Pollo Loco

Starting Line Up:
QB  - Carson Palmer
WR - Roddy White
WR - Mike Wallace
RB  - Michael Turner
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Marques Colston
K  - Shaun Suisham
DEF - NY Giants

This week brings another fierce competitor. El Pollo is beating TDs in the rankings and seems to have more going for them for their team. Thus, TDs is the underdog this week given projected fantasy points. A lot to do with it could be a couple solid starters on a bye week including Trent Richardson and RGIII.

The keys to victory this week for TDs is to make sure that his solid WR core continues to play great. They will with a doubt be the foundation of this matchup. But that won't be enough to beat El Pollo, therefore a surprisingly good game from Turner and/or Palmer is also key if TDs wants to pull out the upset and continue the winning streak.

Week 9

#6 ShowMeYourTDs  vs.  #4 Tesus crusades

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Mike Wallace
RB  - Trent Richardson
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Marques Colston
K  - Shaun Suisham
DEF - Green Bay

As feared, last week TDs suffered an upset loss to La Flama Blanca. Both teams had weaker performances and unfortunately TDs was worse than his. The players that are relied on to carry the TDs to victory came up short and played well under projections. Now with a record of 4-4 the team that was a front runner for the playoffs has a lot more to prove.

This weeks challenger gives TDs a great chance to redeem himself and regain a playoff spot. Tesus just so happens to be 1 game ahead and currently ranked 4th. A win for TDs will definitely keep him in the hunt and back on the side of a playoff favorite. Despite being favored to win this week (and TDs has a track record of bouncing back and getting a win), he will need his starters to step up and produce. RGIII is a without a doubt a key player in this matchup, along with Falcons players Roddy and Tony.

This is a big matchup against a division rival... A must win for TDs

Week 8

#4 ShowMeYourTDs  vs.  #9 La Flama Blanca

Starting Line Up:
QB  - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Mike Wallace
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
RB  - Trent Richardson
TE  - Tony Gonzalez
Flex - Marques Colston
K  - Shaun Suisham
DEF - Green Bay

Last week proved well with a victory that resulted in week 7's biggest blowout, despite only scoring 109 points (mainly due to players on their bye week). However, this week brings a new challenger. Don't let La Flama Blanca's record and 9th place rank fool you. This team has put up consistent numbers the last 4 weeks scoring 120, 134, 128, and most recently 115. There is plenty of potential on his team to defeat the TDs this week, but I'm confident that my team will carry me to the checker flag for the W.

League Projections:

ShowMeYourTDs finishes the season in 3rd place with a record of 9-5
Power Rankings: ShowMeYourTDs in 2nd place, Perpetual Dynasty ranking 1st.

Fun Fact:
After the draft TDs was projected to finish dead last a with a record of 1-13.  Clearly this manager saw something the experts missed, while he also made some great trades that built a competitive team

Week 7

#5 ShowMeYourTDs  vs.  #3 The Real McCoy

Starting Line Up:
QB  -  RGIII
WR - Mike Wallace
WR - Marques Colston
RB  - Ahmad Bradshaw
RB  - Trent Richardson
TE  - Fred Davis
Flex - Denarius Moore
K - Justin Tucker
DEF - Green Bay

This weeks match-up happens to be the most anticipated of the week. TDs is without 4 starters due to bye weeks and McCoy is also down 3 players. Despite that though, the odds look to be in my favor. RGIII is coming off his best week of the year and will likely rack up points again through the air and on the ground. The receiving core is strong as usual with Wallace and Colston who could break out for a 30+ point game at anytime. Bradshaw although facing a touch NYG defense is coming off a great week against the number 1 rushing defense San Fran. With that said, the line up weakens as Gonzo is on a bye forcing TDs to start Fred Davis. And Trent's status is anything but solid to start which could also cause problems since TDs has no other RB on the roster at this point in time, should he be unable to start Sunday.

On the other side of the ball is McCoy. Reggie Wayne is on a hot streak and will be a threat to TDs. Also appearing to be potentially dangerous is Aaron Hernandez and CJ Spiller, both back from injuries and already finding the end zone. Although McCoy is projected to lose the match-up his team shows underrated players which has me on my feet and worried about this week.

This one could come down to Monday night to decide the victor.

Week 6: Wrap up

Only one word can describe the highly unexpected loss I suffered to Bo during rivalry week..... Disappointment.

After my strongest performance of the year in week 5, I felt great heading into week 6, as did my peers since I received every vote to win the match-up.What pulled Bo to victory was the shocking numbers that his running backs put up, including Shonn Greene's 35 fantasy points and Chris Johnson's best week of the year earning 15. The heart breaking part of it all is how poorly TDs starting lineup performed. Trent Richardson and Michael Turner only combined for 10 points. As well, Cincinnati's DEF fell apart and only managed to score 2.

I will be back for revenge in week 11...

Week 6: RIVALRY WEEK!!

The much hyped and anticipated Rivalry Week!

Starting Line Up:
QB - RGIII
WR - Roddy White
WR - Mike Wallace
RB - Trent Richardson
RB - Michael Turner
TE - Tony Gonzalez
FLEX - Malcom Flyod
K - Justin Tucker
DEF - Cincinnati

Let's start with the beginning:
As you may know my rival is Beaus N Hoes managed by Alex (Bo)hanan. Bo and I happen to go way back. We've been in school together since 1st grade and we became friends not long after that. I have watched Bo grow up, literally, and he has had football in his life for a long time. In 8th grade the Steelers were playing the Patriots in the AFC championship game, and the Steelers were heavily favored. I told Bo I would bet him $1000 the Steelers would win, and he said no bet.... well the Steelers lost! And when I got to class (still furious about the loss) all Bo said to me was "Man, I should've made that bet" with a smirk on his face. Thus, a rivalry was born...

Today:
Bo and I remain great friends today, despite living with each other for 2 years in college  and watching countless match-ups between our favorite teams.. We have competed in fantasy leagues before and always enjoy the competition of trying to beat one another. I'm excited to have Bo as my rival to carry on a tradition for the years to come in the MFFL.

As badly as I want to win this week, I must give my compliments to Bo. He has a powerful team to say the least and despite his surprising losing record, I know his team can blow up any given week, which is why I fear this match-up.

Best of luck Bo! And may the Rivalry live on....

Q and A

Stinger here with ShowMeYourTD's

What was the first thought or opinion you had when you heard
Mr. miller was starting a fantasy league?

1) Mr. Miller a commish?! They really do let anyone be a commish these days

In all seriousness though, I have been more excited than to be a part of the MFFL. This is an elite group and an honor as I know that the commish will run a league with the highest standards. This league will live on past our children's children under Mr. Miller!

How did you choose your team name?

2) Well I really love scoring TD's... I mean come on they are worth the most points!

What type of manager should people expect?

3) A manager who has nothing to lose, therefore I will be out to gain!

Do you have any words for your rival?
4) Good luck to you Bo!

     You need it son ;)

Getting to know the Manager

I represent myself as a member of the Steeler Nation as I am without a doubt a beloved fan of my Pittsburgh Steelers, despite being born and raised in Gahanna, OH. I’ve been a fantasy manager since 2005. During my time I’ve finished as well as 1st overall in my league, and as low as second to last, and everything in between!

My rivalry with Beaus N Hoes (Bo) is one that I respect, and have great anticipation for. I must give my rival his dues because he has displayed dominance in the past. With that said I plan to shut that dominance down and start a winning record against him in this league.
